Remarks
It is quite easy to score A for this subject. I am not aware of refining my Assignment 1 & 2 and weak English foundation caused my failure to get an A. Not to grumble, but I really hate assignments, even considering the fact that I learnt much from assignments comparing to the exams. It's hard to score well on an assignment, but it's too easy to slack off while doing it.
20% Assignment 1 (User manual review)
20% Assignment 2 (Research Proposal)
20% Assignment 3 (MUET Speaking Test)
40% Finals
About Assignments
Don’t forget to refer to marking scheme before doing your assignments. It can help you produce work that meet teacher’s expectations.
Assignment 1:
Nothing much to say, just follow the guidelines. Give as much points as you can (within the range of pages)
Assignment 2:
Need effort to excel, but not as hard as you think. Meet teacher more to address your doubts about the assignments. Besides content, focus also on the formatting (not using the wrong version of APA style referencing, not using American English, etc.)
Thoughts:
To be short, ask more from teacher. Show that you don’t know and refer for teacher’s help as if you are uncertain. Regret that I didn’t do this while doing my assignments and realised myself as a clown during the marks release. I got a 21/30 and 32/50.
Assignment 3:
This part requires a fluent English speaking skills. If you used to speak with standard English, you basically secured your marks within 13-15/15. If not, please practice your yapping skills with your friend lol. Language skills usually improve through a harsh way, just use it. Wish to improve writing skills? Write more! Wish to improve speaking skills? Speak more!
